Meline® Pigmentation Peel – Winter Months Only
The Meline® Pigmentation Peel is a medical-grade depigmentation treatment designed to target stubborn pigmentation, melasma, sun damage, and uneven skin tone at its source — delivering visible, long-term correction rather than temporary brightening. This advanced peel works by regulating melanin production, accelerating cellular turnover, and correcting pigmentation pathways within the skin. Each treatment is carefully customised to your skin type and pigmentation concern to ensure optimal results while maintaining skin integrity.

The Treatment Process

Your in-clinic Meline Peel is professionally applied to initiate controlled exfoliation and melanin correction. This is followed by a structured home-care protocol, which is an essential part of the treatment and critical to achieving safe, even, and lasting
pigmentation results.

Your Meline treatment package includes a complete corrective home-care system:

Meline® Spots Treatment
(Solar Lentigines & Sun Damage Correction)
The Meline® Spots Treatment is a targeted, medical-grade peel designed specifically to treat sun-induced pigmentation, including solar lentigines (sun spots), age spots, and liver spots. Unlike melasma, which is often hormonally driven, pigmentation treated with Meline® Spots is caused by chronic UV exposure and sits deeper within the skin.

This precision treatment focuses only on individual pigmented lesions, not the entir
face, allowing us to work deeper and achieve faster, more dramatic results.

How Meline® Spots Works

Because sun spots are caused by overactive melanocytes in a localised area, this
treatment works by selectively damaging the melanocytes within the spot itself. By
reaching the dermal level and inducing controlled frosting, pigment-producing cells are disrupted, allowing the skin to regenerate clearer and more even over time.

The Treatment Process

1. Skin Preparation
The skin is thoroughly cleansed and degreased to ensure optimal penetration of
the active ingredients. Gentle mechanical stimulation may be used to enhance skin response.

2. Professional Peel – Step One
A liquid peel containing Azelaic Acid, Tranexamic Acid, and Resorcinol is applied directly to the spot in layers until controlled frosting is achieved. This indicates effective penetration and melanocyte targeting.

3. Professional Peel – Step Two
A violet, paste-like peel containing Pyruvic Acid and Salicylic Acid is applied thickly over the frosted area. The area may be occluded, and the peel remains on the skin for 1–1.5 hours, after which it is removed at home.

4. Post-Treatment Skin Response
Depending on depth, the area may lightly exfoliate or form a small crust. This must be allowed to shed naturally. Once healed, clearer pink skin is revealed. Temporary lightening of the area can occur and will normalise as the skin regenerates.

Most clients require only 1–2 treatments per spot, with long-lasting correction.
Meline® ID Transdermal Pigmentation Treatment
Targeting Dermal Melasma
The Meline® ID Transdermal Pigmentation Treatment is an advanced corrective protocol designed specifically to treat dermal melasma — a deeper and more complex form of pigmentation influenced by hormonal, inflammatory, and vascular factors.
This treatment combines Meline® ID depigmenting actives with microneedling technology to deliver targeted ingredients directly into the dermal layers of the skin, where melasma originates. Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that allow for enhanced transdermal delivery, improving ingredient penetration and overall treatment effectiveness.
Meline® ID works to regulate melanocyte activity, reduce inflammation, and interruptabnormal pigment signalling while supporting collagen production and skin resilience.

Treatment Course

For best results, a course of 3–4 treatments is generally recommended, spaced
approximately 4 weeks apart. Improvement is progressive, with results building over
time. As melasma is a chronic condition, ongoing maintenance and strict sun
protection are essential to sustain results.

Benefits

• Targets pigmentation at a dermal level
• Improves skin tone clarity and uniformity
• Supports collagen and overall skin health
• Non-aggressive approach suitable for melasma-prone skin

Mild redness may occur for 24–48 hours post-treatment. Results are maximized when combined with prescribed home care and daily SPF.

• This treatment is available all year round
• Strict sun protection and adherence to home care is required
